The Pack's Pinewood Derby is set for Saturday, January 14, 2012. Car kits will be available at the November 22 Pack Meeting. There is a cost of $5 this year per kit. The fee covers the car, patch, trophy, ribbon/certificate, car stand and room rental. Come early and watch the other races, build your car display stand, and have a snack. A Caroling We Go!
Posted 11/17/2011

Here's a "save the date" reminder for December 11. We will be spreading some holiday joy by caroling at the Bickford Assisted Living & Memory Care facility located at 717 McHenry Avenue, Crystal Lake, IL. Scouts should arrive by 10:50AM dressed in full uniform. The residents welcome a visit from the boys, and everyone leaves filled with the holiday spirit, so let's try for a great turnout this year!

Here's our song list for Caroling 2011, please print it out and have your scout practice these songs before the event.

Scouts, Community Gather to Remember Events of 9/11/01
Posted 9/11/2011

In a somber ceremony held to remember the victims of 9/11/01, scouts from packs 267 and 167 joined with the residents of Sun City, the American Legion, and other community members to mark the occassion. Scouts handed out show programs, assisted the elderly in finding seats and carrying lawn chairs, and took part in the opening ceremony. 2,997 American flags, one for each victim in the 9/11 attacks, were planted in the grass and provided a striking visual reminder of the sacrifices made on that day of infamy.

Zapped Ya! Laser Tag Outing Scores a Hit with Scouts
Posted 3/21/2011

Brunswick Zone was the site of this Pack 267 outing, as scouts tested their accuracy and aim in some exciting rounds of laser tag, followed by a massive pizza party and arcade action. Tigers, Bobcats, Bears and Wolves were on the prowl, blasting each other and the enemy base. Reports of wounded were greatly exaggerated... turned out those were just pizza sauce stains!

"Scouting for Food" Food Drive is a Success
Posted 3/7/2011

Pack 267 came together for the good of the community on Saturday, March 6th as scouts gathered food donations to restock the shelves of the Grafton Township Food Pantry. Scouts canvased the Sun City community on February 26, leaving bags and need lists with residents. The following Saturday, the scouts reconvenied at Sun City to pick up the bags and then bring them with their Dens to the Grafton Township Food Pantry located on Kreutzer Road. Scouts and Leaders helped pantry volunteers unload and sort donations by dates. Thousands of items were gathered through the hard work of Pack 267!
