Good Turn Time — "Scouting For Food" Looks to End Hunger Locally |
Posted 2/7/2012 |
Scouts can make a difference in their community, and no annual event proves that better than "Scouting for Food." Pack 267 will meet in the parking lot near the clubhouse of Sun City at 10am on February 25 to hand out donation bags and program fliers to the generous residents of Sun City. The following Saturday, March 3, scouts will return at 9am to pickup donations and then proceed to the Grafton County Food Pantry to help sort and process our collective donation. Stocking the shelves of our local food pantry teaches Scouts the importance of civic responsibility, volunteering, and donating their time to a worthy cause that makes a real difference in the quality of life of hundreds of individuals. Scouts should wear their uniforms and meet with their dens at the start times. Contact David Hardt prior to the event with any questions or concerns.

Scouts, Community Gather to Remember Events of 9/11/01 |
Posted 9/11/2011
|
In a somber ceremony held to remember the victims of 9/11/01, scouts from packs 267 and 167 joined with the residents of Sun City, the American Legion, and other community members to mark the occassion. Scouts handed out show programs, assisted the elderly in finding seats and carrying lawn chairs, and took part in the opening ceremony. 2,997 American flags, one for each victim in the 9/11 attacks, were planted in the grass and provided a striking visual reminder of the sacrifices made on that day of infamy.

Zapped Ya! Laser Tag Outing Scores a Hit with Scouts |
Posted 3/21/2011
|
Brunswick Zone was the site of this Pack 267 outing, as scouts tested their accuracy and aim in some exciting rounds of laser tag, followed by a massive pizza party and arcade action. Tigers, Bobcats, Bears and Wolves were on the prowl, blasting each other and the enemy base. Reports of wounded were greatly exaggerated... turned out those were just pizza sauce stains! |
